Services

Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)

IMEs can be completed to answer medical questions from an unbiased neutral physician. Examples include determining a patient’s extent of disability, impairment ratings due to work-related injuries, and whether a patient is fit to return to work. IMEs can be helpful for making decisions related to legal matters, insurance claims, or need for medical treatment. The IME process includes a review and summary of all relevant medical records, a detailed medical history, and a comprehensive physical examination. A professionally written report of the findings is then provided to help everyone involved better understand the patient’s medical condition and abilities.

Veteran Disability

NEXUS letters help explain how a Veteran’s medical condition is related to their Military service. Though not required for VA claims, NEXUS letters are especially important if the connection between your military service and medical conditions is not obvious and clear by medical records alone. The letter will provide an expert opinion of why your condition is related to your service along with supporting medical literature to demonstrate a clear link.

Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) are VA forms used to evaluate specific medical conditions. An accurate and detailed DBQ is critical to ensure your condition receives the proper VA disability rating. PDF versions can be found at https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/dbq_publicdbqs.asp.

Medical Review Officer (MRO)

MROs receive laboratory confirmed drug test results and determine whether there is a legitimate medical explanation for a laboratory confirmed positive, adulterated, or substituted result. MROs review and report a verified result to the designated employer representative (DER) in a timely and confidential manner.
